About Asphyxia

Food and Nutrition

  • Traditional Foods
My health has dramatically improved after changing my diet for a more traditional way of eating, as advised by Sally Fallon.
  • Food Flower Poster
Forget the food pyramid! It was developed by the agricultural industry, not by nutritionists. Instead, print this Food Flower poster, which shows a visual guide to choosing nutritious and satisfying traditional foods.
  • Sourdough bread Recipes
I make delicious sourdough bread in my bread machine - recipes and tips here.
  • Raw Food
Should we be eating a diet of 100% raw food? Here's what I found by way of "scientific proof".
  • Raw garlic to cure colds & flu
If you feel a cold or flu coming on, eat a whole clove of raw garlic, three times a day - it works miracles.

Whoa your house & garden are so beautiful! And so productive! Thanks for the photos, productive veggie garden pictures are some of my favourite things in the world to look at.

Wow, the garden is going great! The rain has done wonders, hasn't it? And thanks for the glimpse of your house. I've always wanted to see it.

Asphyxia!! I found your blog! Only took a little bit of internet stalking. I've been reading it on and off throughout my work day in my breaks... I am so totally impressed. Can't believe you built that house. It's my dream to have a house that's more or less off the grid with a massive vegie garden and chooks. I really want chooks.

Great to see you and meet Jesse at dancing last night - he is so awesome (and cuuuuuute).

xx Lara

What a beautiful, beautiful house! The colours are amazing!

Such a great photo of you and Jesse! I remember when you built your house, so very wonderful to see how much it has evolved, to read and now to follow your committment to your intentions. As on many occasions in the past, I am inspired and amazed at all that you and your family achieve. Look forward to connecting next time I visit Australia. Much love...

Fixie: Meika! So wonderful to hear from you - I tried to email you yonks ago but couldn't find you. Thank you for your gorgeous comments. How are you and where are you? Love Asphyxia xxoo

We need stories. Stories about how the world could be, to 'sing' it into existence.
Your stories help manifest and anchor a different way of Being in the world, the change we need.
Thankyou,
I feel energised!

Hi Fixie,
You sure are a go getter, Im so amaized at what you have done. I would love to build my own house and grow veggies. You have done it all, and keep doing it. Well done. Im a real fan of yours now and will keep in touch.
Regards,
Ant

Thanks for your lovely comment, Ant. I reckon if you want to build your own house and grow veggies, just do it! Set yourself a timeline for your goals and do something towards it each day - then you'll get there! Do stay in touch! Goodluck,
Asphyxia
