Food and Nutrition

  • Traditional Foods
My health has dramatically improved after changing my diet for a more traditional way of eating, as advised by Sally Fallon.
  • Food Flower Poster
Forget the food pyramid! It was developed by the agricultural industry, not by nutritionists. Instead, print this Food Flower poster, which shows a visual guide to choosing nutritious and satisfying traditional foods.
  • Sourdough bread Recipes
I make delicious sourdough bread in my bread machine - recipes and tips here.
  • Raw Food
Should we be eating a diet of 100% raw food? Here's what I found by way of "scientific proof".
  • Raw garlic to cure colds & flu
If you feel a cold or flu coming on, eat a whole clove of raw garlic, three times a day - it works miracles.

Wow!! I think I'm speechless! What an amazing place and an amazing man. Nothing is as real as it seems, like the theatre, but what a grand illusion! It's baroque and divine. Lucky you having this eccentric artist rellie who seems to be able to turn his hand to anything artistic (for an hour!).
PS My uncle is an accountant.

I don't think I've ever responded to anyone's blog post before. But colour me impressed. I have so got to share this. Glad I just found fixiefoo (wish I'd found it earlier). Got Grassroots to thank for that.

Will read here regularly.

Hi Darren, I'm honoured to be the recipient of your first ever blog post :) Thanks so much for saying hi, and I'm really glad you enjoyed my post. Happy reading! Asphyxia.

And Jessamy, I couldn't agree more - yes baroque and divine sums it up personally. I am completely awestruck. Now I just need to find a way to download his artistic goodness into my own soul!

That is the most amazing story I have ever read. Gosh what a coffee table book that would make. An amazing amazing man.My gosh, I am speechless, must read again xx

OMG! Fixie I know you & love you, but to read this post I am transfixed and transported to another age, a parallel universe - much like that of The Grimstones. Now I know from where your wild genius stems!

WOW! What an treasure of an Uncle you have! Reminds me of the brilliance of William Rickett and his sanctuary of scultpures in Olinda: a childhood haunt of mine way back in the day! It is inspiring to see so much talent! Thanks and thanks for your Blog too! I was introduced to you via reading Grassroots and am so impressed by your take on things! I've even emailed the bee man. Thankyou again!

Well I hardly know how to express the wonder I have just seen, what a journey, what an exceptional man, his talent, and amazing ideas are one thing, but to have the talent to do all this himself, truly an artist and master of many many things, it is easy to see that his blood runs in your veins, as you are every bit as gifted. What a fantastic experience for Jesse, how lucky he is to be part of such a gifted family.

Actual swoon.... I think I am in love with your uncle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
