I did this page in my journal after a particularly lovely day of writing. My friend Laura told me that next to her seven year old son Talin's bed, she found a little note, where he'd written, "Thank you for this day." How utterly sweet. I remembered Carla Sonheim's suggestion to use kids' words as titles for artwork. Voila. I like this page. I tried out a different combination of colours than I usually use, and I'm liking them. Still going with my layers of textured backgrounds and dirty ink.
Hi Asphyxia!
I left a comment yesterday but I think I deleted it by mistake!
Anyway, it was just to say CONGRATULATIONS (about the newly published book) and that I have enjoyed your blog for a long time. It always fires me up to think 'out of the box'.
THe new colours work well on Thankyou For This Day page: I love the tinge of pink.
I think good feedback is important, it gives a confidence boost to carry on being really creative, feeling supported.
Love,
Hazelnut
