We filmed a promo video for The Grimstones last week. It won't be the final promo cos there's too much missing, thanks to incomplete props. Ntennis, who got behind the camera, filmed it and edited it, did such a beautiful job. He told me after we'd filmed Velvetta mourning at the grave that he had tears in his eyes. I found that astonishing, but then when I watched the footage, by the very end I too felt a little teary - he captured her sadness so perfectly. I'm not sure if that comes across in the final edit - once we'd watched it a few times we'd lost any sense of perspective. He had a wonderful eye for how to light it. He put the lights in places I would never have thought of, and a whole new quality was lent to the images. Anyway, see for yourself what we made - and do tell me your thoughts!
Hi, just wanted to say I loved your promo. Are you making it to go on kid's tv? I really love the little puppet stages, and how you have human/marionette interaction!
You've got a really nice website, I'm glad I found it.
Best of luck with the promo!
Fixie: Hi Katy, glad you liked it, and thanks for your lovely comments. I'm making it for theatres, but hey if anyone wants to put it on TV well, I'll be delighted :) Cheers - Fixie.

Hi Asphyxia
Laura got me into your website ages ago when you were first making the Grimstones so to see your promo video was fantastic. It's just phenomenal!!! Congrats on beautiful puppets, beautiful sets, beautiful story and great staging. You two are so clever you make me want to vomit with jealousy!!!
Hope to see you soon
